Dr. Suchart Kosolkitiwong
Dr. Suchart Kosolkitiwong founded the Office of the World Peace Envoy in 1973. In a very short time period, the WPE quickly became an internationally recognized and respected peace organization, earning Dr. Kosolkitiwong and the WPE numerous awards and honors from many of the most esteemed international associations.
Dr. Kosolkitiwong and the WPE held talks with several revered religious leaders, such as H.H. Pope Paul VI, H.H. Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji Maharaj, H.H. the Dalai Lama, UN leaders including H.E. Dr. Kurt Waldheim, and many world leaders and ambassadors. The WPE organized the World Eternal Peace Conference where representatives and leaders from various countries together with religious leaders participated in peace ceremonies and listened to presentations and prayers for peace.
Dr. Kosolkitiwong understood the reality that he many not see world peace in his lifetime. But those thoughts did not stand in the way of his unrelenting quest to promote peace and try to influence leaders and all peoples to think peace first before conflict. His legacy is a lesson to anyone who thinks they cannot make a peaceful difference in their lifetime.
Sadly, Dr. Kosolkitiwong passed away in January of 2005, but his legacy, spirit and quest for world peace live on at the Office of the World Peace Envoy.
